ABF announces date for Connecting Business Expo

Thousands of delegates expected at the biggest business event of its kind.

Businesses across the North West are being given the chance to market their products and services to over 2,000 visitors, including entrepreneurs and industry leaders from the ethnic minority business community.

Exhibitors at the forthcoming major business event will see their companies exposed to thousands of visitors at the Connecting Business Expo following the success of last years event. The exhibition provides an ideal opportunity for attendees to widen their customer base and tap into the growing ethnic minority business community and thereby helping to sustain the regional economy whilst creating wealth and opportunities for many more businesses.

Connecting Business Expo 08 will be held at Bolton's Reebok Stadium over 2 days on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th November 2008.

The Asian Business Federation - which represents some 3,500 Asian businesses across the UK but with a heavy bias in the North West - is hosting the exhibition and has a strong reputation for organizing well attended and high quality events. Although aimed at ethnic minority businesses the event is open to all.

The ABF is expecting more than 2,000 visitors to the event from across the business spectrum. And the body is now inviting firms to be among some 100 exhibitors at the event to exploit the business opportunities afforded by such huge numbers.

However past exhibitions by ABF have been vastly popular and over subscribed so businesses interested in exhibiting should register their interest urgently.

ABF general manager Mubarak Chati said: "The event was a hailed great success last year when it was launched and due to the high level of interest we will now be running the exhibition over 2 days.”

He added: "In the North West, 19,000 ethnic minority businesses contribute £1.7 billion to the economy. That is a huge market to get involved in.

"For exhibitors it's about exposure and winning potential new customers. But they will be able to network on a major scale and tap into the knowledge of thousands of visitors.”

Diane Moses of Credit Safe heaped praise on the people behind last year's event. "It was very well organised," said Diane. "We were very impressed. Our staff had a fabulous time and our key objective, which is to bring back business, was met.

"It isn't always easy to convey our message - the importance of credit checks for businesses - to some communities. This was an ideal tool for us and we will be looking to exhibit again this year."
